American Idol in Florida

The crazies were out in full force again today.

There was the crazy blond (Naomi) who thought she could sing like Mariah Carey…uh…No.

Then there was the guy that started crying during his audition because his “friend” hadn’t made it. I’m pretty sure the “friend” was some guy he had just met that day. He had been very creepily going around talking to everyone at the audition; you could see some of them were a little freaked out by this guy.

George Ramirez…the physics guy. 18 going on 42. I have noticed a pattern with the physics-type guys…usually if there is a contestant who has a nerd-like passion, they typically can’t sing. In fact, I can’t think of anyone who could. Now we did learn during last year’s AI that David Cook *sigh* considered himself a Word Nerd, but I’m talking science guys. Besides, there’s nothing sexier than a guy that likes to read and/or likes words. Nope, anytime AI focuses on a guy that claims to have some love for science, that guy usually can’t sing. Coincidence? Possibly.

What was up with the guy and his guitar? It was like someone had taken his security blanket. Had he not noticed that no one ever does the auditions with an instrument? Then he got told off by Ryan for telling his mom not to touch him when she tried to comfort him. I started laughing. I mean seriously…he was schooled by Ryan.

The girl with the best voice of the night the judges make go back out and get a “star persona”. Apparently that means makeup and new shoes. She got in.

I kind of wonder if the Idol Crazies go home and see themselves on AI and still think they sound good. I’m going to say that they probably do. That’s how deluded they are.

I could not agree more. Delusions seem to be running AI this year.
