No More Raccoons...?

I finally caught the raccoon (Houdini). I heard the trap snap shut around 9pm. I went out and checked and sure enough...there he was. I knew I had to act fast because he had already escaped twice. I called my CG'pa and he came right over.

I won't go into details (my dad made a point to mention that it was not raccoon season and that is why he set the female free. I don't believe that is why, but...). CG'pa said I should re-set the trap because there were probably more. I really didn't want to believe him (I mean, I caught both the male and female, right?), but I went ahead and set the trap anyway. I woke up this morning to discover that something had gotten into the trap (food was gone), but the trap hadn't tripped. I've re-set it again for tonight and we'll see.

What would you do if you caught a nuisance like Houdini?
